Initially exploring ‘Pseudo-Anglicisms’ and the mistranslation and
misinterpretation which occurs between English [which has the authority
as ‘the international language’] and other languages, this project
destabilises that authority and puts the English speaking reader/viewer
into the position of being ‘outside’ of their own language system
looking in [which, in a multicultural society is a position many people
will recognise].This work can also be seen as an attempt to refresh the way we view
information which we sometimes only ‘half-read’, see in our peripheral
vision, or take for granted.

This idea was explored through a variety of media; newspapers, radio, web-pages, print, signage, TV etc.
