The design itself is inspired my modern day blueprints and Lenardo Davinci's classic mechanical designs.
The background story is based on this ZXC device which has something to do with time travel and the third dimension. The device failed in it's original design but in testing it spawned a form of nano-mechanical virus. The resulting story is written here and there on the design.

Might put this on a tee in the near future.
