8/9/2007 NEW YORK – The production team of Nebulla (Ben Dotson) and DJ Dore (Maxim Dore) are pleased to announce the debut of their premier release, The Dirtystep Mixtape Volume 1. Representing a startling evolution in the nascent dubstep scene, where English grime and two-step genres are combined with Jamaican dub and dancehall, The Dirtystep Mixtape Volume 1 pushes this blend one step further, bringing the raw, low-fi sounds of dirty south hip-hop into the mix.

Releasing the album free of charge online at www.dirtystep.com, the project represents a pure vision for a new musical and dance cultural genre, liberated from the constraints of record labels and financial concerns. Energized by the early buzz generated by the album’s heavy, low tempo bass, Nebulla and DJ Dore are already hard at work on volume 2, scheduled for release this Halloween.
