Set against the backdrop of heightened paranoia over national security in a post 9/11 America, "The Boundary" seeks to explore the human dynamic that is a part of the stories of Muslim and Arab American detainments at the U.S./Canada border.
Loosely based on numerous incidents of American citizens of Arab backgrounds and Muslim faith being detained at the U.S./Canda border, the film depicts the story of one family's encounter with the harsh realities faced by many Muslim Americans.
A story involving Muslim American identity, politics, issues of national security, and America's greatest responsibility to its citizens, "The Boundary" is also, at its heart, a film about family and what personal costs a father will go through to protect the innocence of his daughter.
