The American Beauty
This project was done as a part of typography class and it was deliverd with one line:
Create a “type as image” poster on a theme of ‘American Beauty’.
Solution
American Beauty �" American society seen as the king/the queen of the consumption and waste. Everything simply goes down the drain and gets flushed. Thus toilet can be seen as the thrown of American Beauty, and the icing represent just the camouflage. The contrast and juxtaposition between icing and toilet puts emphasize on the ridiculeness the American society.
Also have to add that icing the toilet was lots of fun!
