This poster was made from 2000 minutes of cassette tape from 2000 1 minute cassettes. I art directed the photo shoot and designed the poster. It was a fun evening, and went considerably faster after I rigged a "device" made out of the packaging the cassettes came in that allowed 200 cassettes to be "pulled" at once. Many people thought it was me in the tape suit, but the logistics of being behind the camera and inside the tape proved to be too difficult. Still, even my own mother thought it was me... never mind the fact that her son has blue eyes.
The next step after taking the photograph for the poster was adapting the tape into a costume. We guided the aptly named "tape monster" around the campus passing out cassettes with labels that advertised the show. Sadly, he ate the last ones and none remain!
