The graphic was made for Talentarena.de. Talentarena is a website
where artists can sell their work independantly.
The concept is about the revolution within the creative culture.
The digital revolution. It's loosely based on the dynamic statues
of the french revolution. Only I added things like speakers, pencils,
lines, geometric shapes, etc. which are all elements that are used to
create art.
Its also a representation of the way art is looked upon these days. the
digital age is making classical aesthetics popular again. Which also means
that the 'common' people will have more interest in art again. I see it as
stepping from classical art to the new digital era. Which will make it
possible for artists to be independable again. well at least that is my hope.
The colors were supposed to be all green (bringing life to the statue and the
old values, and that was also the style of talentarena). but when I saw the
final result, it looked too standard/commercial, a little xbox like :) So I decided
to be inspired by the french flag. which is a symbol of the revolution to me.
