My latest series, the Stones pieces all came about from a day spent collecting pebbles on a trek through some beachside towns in northern California. After the long extensive work on the Grant's window series which was very structured and geometric, I felt the need to find a new type of release. I also wanted to explore darker color palettes since I'b been staring at these chipper sunny canvases lately. The series didn't make it to exhibition before a buyer saw them online and purchased the entire series for a group of restaurants in Australia and California. These color palettes have more symmetry to them I believe and show a more mature color palette.

i'm not wild about the teal in #3, especially with the orange,, but i think my distaste for teal comes from the 80s and 90s cars of similar colors. regardless, a very nice show of compositions.
