This is a business card design for a client of mine. I designed the logo as well and am now trying to come up with a business card that is as dynamic as the logo. It is obviously for a personal trainer who wants to appeal to both men and women athletes. I used a black leather background to represent the leather of a weight bench. I also wanted to use images that represented the name of the company "StayFocused" that is where i got the inspiration for these two images of a man and a woman staring towards you, truly focused on their work out. I am very happy with the background of the cards but not so excited about how i laid out the text and where i placed the logos. Thank you for all of your help.

I would put the info in the side 1 (where the logo is) and the logo in the other. About the info, maybe you can try to write in the first line the name, the professional title below , leave one line empty and below the tel. and the e-mail. Bruce Lee (i.e. 12 pt, bold ) Professional trainer (i.e. 9pt, normal) tel: 443.336.1355 (i.e. 10,5 pt, normal) e-mail: stayfocused21@gmail.gr (i.e. 10,5 pt, normal) I agree with Scott, pretty much. Good luck.

this is cool...the font may be too big and contrast of the woman and man are not the same, IMO

Jim, Well check that out the finished product - Sweet! Side one: I would put only the logo with stay focused a tad smaller and over to the right a bit (centered in the open space) so your logo will stop competing to much with the weights that he is lifting. Side two: Put all the contact info on one side stacked in the open space or stacked at the bottom at 8-9 point. Maybe put the logo in the background larger (maybe even bleeding off of the edge) that is varnished in (10% transparency) that would look kick with that leather background. You may of all ready done these ideas and they just didn't work believe me I have been there. Let me know if you want to talk further or if you would like to see a quick mock-up of it. Don't mind to help out a fellow designer. Scott 144

What if you printed it a one color metallic silver or darker metallic on a thick black stock. That would make it look a little bit more "wet". I agree with moving the logo up to the right a little. And they don't need to be BIGGER!

The card design is looking good! I'd suggest, on side one, flipping the placement of the logo and the body builder since our eye is trained to read from left to right; actually, it really depends on what you want the viewer to see first? Whatever that is, is what I'd have in the spot where you currently have the gentleman. You could also try moving him down a bit and placing the logo at top center. Not sure if that helps, but just a few ideas...good luck :)
