Thanks for the kind comments. My process for this illustration was to sketch out a rough composition for the layout in pencil. I then did a refined pencil sketch of the letterforms, which was scanned into Photoshop. I then used Illustrator to vectorize and refine. Last step was to add the highlights and shadows. I followed the same process for the Stanley Cup. I will post the pencil sketches and other process images that might be of interest.
