Spectator of other Invisible life seek to vivify the consider of female bodies through a relationship of city reality not as natural or absolute giving but as tangible cultural experience by attempt to make visible those parts that had been conceal by official authority and exclude public image of the city. By reveal a complex relationship between the city and people who dwell in it.
Pattaya is a city that build its core economy base on tourism have try to project itself as a dreamscape of visual consumption. However underneath the visible cityscape lie invisible life of the people who inhabit in it and make living through commercial sex operation, my pursuit for this work is to reveal those life that are mostly invisible.
The tourist visual consumption of city site seeing can conjoining sexualistaion implementation, When strip dancer in “Ago go” bar adapt the use of Fluorescent black lights, they aim to offer a sense of escape from ordinary and secret fascination of otherness that evoke desire of foreign tourists. This mode of visual consumption seem to offer voyeuristic attitude that contribute to subordination and objectification of female body. Where the female body can be stripped of the appearance of flesh. However with it original function Fluorescent Black light is used to test authenticate identification document and other travel document as an evidence of legitimate. In forensic investigations, black lights are used to reveal the presence of trace evidence. When stripe dancer adapt this method they are able to make themselves visible to make themselves legitimate to make themselves an evidence exist.
Spectator of other Invisible life are exist like a ghost among the ruin and arise of cupidity sight of the city, their shapes are vaguely outlined in the shadowy back-light that lies between the visible and the invisible. like the ambiguous spaces that exist between day and night, between nature and civilization, between legitimate and illegitimate, between public and private life.
