This project is a Speak Mandarin Campaign for Channel 8 and Channel U, Singapore. Consists of 10 promos with 10 local celebrities, shoot in studio without green screen, just plain gray and lighting.
The treatment is in AE and some 3D element I did in Cinema4D
The catch is: I dont even speak Mandarin, so the intern helped me in translating what these people are saying, and as much as possible match the animation the moment they mention it.
but roughly they are talking about some matter related to their roles in their own show, and the supers with english translation is the idiom or difficult word in Chinese.
Facts: Singapore is the only (if not one of few) country in Asia with English as a main language. The Chinese constitute 78% of the population, but not all can speak Chinese, most of them speaks dialect (Hokkien, Cantonesse,etc)
