Project Description
Serene Woods is a platform for emerging authors to showcase their talent by publishing their work and take their first steps towards fame. It is an attempt to create a world where creativity takes centre stage and authors pen their own performance with the world as their jury.
Serene Woods revolves around the idea of self publishing and adds on its own features to make it a great experience for authors and readers alike.
Serene Woods allows authors to put up their literary work, be it books, short stories, poems, blogs on display, and sell, thereby creating an audience for themselves. Readers can read sample excerpts of the book before deciding to buy the book. Once ordered, the hard copy of a book is printed (using Print on Demand technology), exactly like any novel you would see in a bookstore and delivered to the reader’s doorstep. As a feedback for these budding authors, we hope that the readers would come back and rate and review the books they have read thus increasing awareness of the book among the community.
At Serene Woods, each author also gets his own profile page and a message board through which he can reach out to his readers informing them of his thoughts, upcoming books �" basically engage in a dialogue with others thus enabling him to have his own presence on the web and create a community around it.
Thus, Serene Woods aims to bring together literary enthusiasts constantly thirsty for new stories and celebrate the joy of reading, the joy of writing! The joy of words!
