SAN YORK
Its been over 3 years since we (DLO + Spinnerty) have collaborated on a project and shared any music.
Spinnerty is now dj-ing, producing, working, and living in the sunny city of san francisco. his life there is nice like fried rice, and the city is wonderful.
I’m (DLO) now living in the big apple, dj-ing, working in advertising, grindin’ in one of the greatest cities in the world. spend most of my days making creative ideas come to life, and most of my nights exploring the concrete jungle.
When we first started working on this project, we wanted to reflect the changes in our lives, and subsequently how our tastes in music have changed. so this project, which we’re calling “san york” (san fran + new york...yea it’s so uber creative!), represents a new day in the life of DLO and Spinnerty.
We picked some of our favorite songs and mixed them together to create soundtracks to different san francisco and new york experiences. each one that take place over the course of a day, with most of the daytime experiences taking place in SF, and the nighttime ones taking place in NYC.
That’s my brief and oh so deep explanation of it all. the project is continually evolving and building as we keep experiencing new things, so this isn’t it just quite yet. anyhow, hopefully you’ll have a listen and play these mixes as soundtracks to your own life.
