Detail of external stair facing SW.- This was my final project for the F08 semester. We were tasked with designing a house for a college president. The house was on the bank of lake Erie, PA, and was situated in a field of eight foot high hedge. The hedge is represented around the house as 2 inch stacks of wood. My project emphasized strong views of the lake and a linear flow to the property, with strong views situated in her private space (the second floor) and the main lecture area (the large clearing). I am happy with this project as my first real attempt at space making in a house setting.
