Welcome
Thank you for checking this page out. Here are a few projects for you to check out:
Here are 2 of 5 comp ads I did in a day for La Cantina Doors for L7 Creative agency with different tag lines provided for inspiration and direction. These two images display the unique aspects of the doors.
The top ad is for the architectural magazines run, with a more cerebral tag line that appeals to the 'glass house lovers', utilizing a warm and open design with Philip Johnson's (or I.M. Pei's) iconic glasses.
The ad on the bottom was for the consumer market and showcased their aluminum doors to counteract the competitive wooden market. With the tag line of "Let there be La Cantina", I manipulated this image to showcase the light and airiness resulting from usage of the product.

Here are a couple of the articles that I wrote for 944 Magazine years ago while pursuing how to research and write articles, meet and interview subjects, and learning a small bit of the magazine and editorial world. I now understand the light copywriting side of the industry, should you need general copywriting. I have written tag lines that have been in Dwell Magazine, as well as other publications. If you need some phenomenal professional work, I've collaborated with a renowned copywriter from New York City.

One of my first clients ever while freelancing at UCSD was Mr. Clay Bordan of Clay's La Jolla Restaurant at the top of the Hotel La Jolla. I collaborated with Executive Chef and Owner, Mr. Clay Bordan, to make his new identity collateral- business cards, CD cover, flyers and postcards, with his former logo that he kept.
I developed a black and white theme (he was partial to the polka dot design) that was classic, yet modern, that would appeal to his large and varied client base of ages 21-85. I also developed an identifiable design layout with a focus down the center on all pieces. Below is one of the print advertisements I did that was printed in Nostika Magazine:

Logos, Word Marks and Ideograms are always a phenomenally fun project to undertake. Below are some of the logos I've created for L7 Creative Communication and for my freelancing projects. From boutique to corporate, quirky to obscenely in your face, I have answered my client's needs while demonstrating a wide variety of styles.

Alba Action Sports wanted a t-shirt for their Motorcycle Military Events. Their target audience was males, ages 18-35, interested in "crotch rockets". These were a huge hit and quickly the quantities were depleted. Below is the comp for Alba Action Sports and the final t-shirt on gray, for cost effectiveness.
I illustrated this t-shirt completely in Illustrator vectors, so that the printer could use the different vector layers cleanly with an organized file for the screen print. The t-shirt is not particularly my style, but I drew what the target audience desired and it was a great success.

Last, while I'm sharing with you my print capabilities in a variety of formats, the above t-shirt dealt with my illustration potential. Should a client need a hand-drawn example during a meeting, or a comp illustrated, or perhaps a quick storyboard, I can provide that service. Below are a few comps to show a few different styles I am capable of from a Qualcomm pitch, to a pencil illustration and I have Moleskines filled with sketches and illustrations (making a few YouTube videos inspired by Paula Scher).

Please feel free to view my other portfolio pieces, as those show my website design, programming, and additional skill sets. Thank you for checking this page out!
