AK-47 Dollar 60" by 40" (edition of 10)
I'm often criticized for not doing an M-16.  One is in the works but I stand by this "piece" as the superior choice for my Porno Econ series.  Uncle Sam spent millions on AK-47's during the cold war; now, we're spending billions fighting people who we basically armed.

Nuclear Iran: American Fear 18" by 24" also in 16" by 20 (editions of 25)

This is from a rather beautiful example of paper currency, the Iranian 5,000 Rial (1993).  The note is full of color and features the intense gaze of the Ayatollah Khomeini now modified into the shape of a mushroom cloud.

Face value could be trouble considering the Rial isn't doing so well, and neither is the dollar.

Very frequently Iran has been in the news about an alleged desire to develop nuclear weapons; the piece reflects that desire and also echoes past American relations with Iran.

Khomeini was the face of the revolution, and as a result is forever tied to the independence and power of Iran also making him the face of the nuclear program.

I like the concept.
It's just that Iran does not have nuclear weapons, unless you mention this somewhere, it could be taken at face value osit.
