There is a tattoo shop in town. It opened recently and has a few large empty walls. As a thank you to the owner and a good place to showcase some art, I decided to make this painting.The owner has done me a very nice paisley tattoo and took great pains to get the miniscule pattern detail just right. In the spirit of tattoo tradition of skulls and other scary imagery, I came up with this toothed monster saying something incongruous, a small pretty paisley pattern. The work is on 1 by 2 meter canvas with the lower part becoming drips and dribbles and ending in thick crusty rust.
