I was getting too many shops that were linked from various web sites and various locations on each web site. So, I decided to create a "main street" interface - and actually use (photoshopped) brick and mortar businesses from my town to represent that various entities of my design/humor/art/publishing business. The result may be seen at OctaneStreet.com. It's gotten a ton of good comments, led to a few design jobs, and definitely has made it easier for my visitors to find what they are looking for.

As I add more, I just add another building. The interface scrolls from left to right - so adding to the street is not a problem. Each new building creates more "traffic" on the street. The latest building is the Octane Garage which is a collection of odd vehicles that I've used in little email ads for my design business.

I'd appreciate your comments. Thanks!
