Description
The existence of Jazz began in the whorehouses, later it became music for the higher class people. When I think of Jazz I think two thinks. One thought is of a café with neon signs, inside it's dusty, dark, smelly, old and filled with smoke, drunks and women. The other one is glamor and showbiz, with Frank Sinatra feeling. This design refers to the first one, a old en filthy feeling...
  • Work Method > During the making of this poster I only used my scanner + transparent sheets. What I did was: placing the sheets on the scanner, the sheets where overlapping each other (thats why the "bars" appeared). I left the scanner plate open while scanning, this way the noise appeared. And after scanning I've modified it a little bit with Photoshop (only levels and contrast).
