In collaboration with Jurgen Bey and Rianne Makkink of Studo Bey, Oilily created a fully nomadic artisan fashion design/production atelier. Jurgen and Rianne conceived of the unit as a set of modular wood crates for easy shipment and portage to-and-from events.

On arrival at wide variety of venues (including Antwerp's Central Station, Florence's Pitti Imagine, Berlin and Barcelona's Bread & Butter events, London's Harrods, as well as Oilily's own stores from Amsterdam to New York) the modules are unfolded and nested into place to create a functional fashion atelier with industrial-quality sewing and pressing stations as well as fabric and trim storage.

Once in place the unit has been "operated" by Oilily's in-house designers as well as members of our wider creative network, notably Charo Boham Bekke of The Sewing Room in the spirit of ongoing creative fusion.
