The brief asked for a space that could be used as both a bar and viewing platform for festivals and live events. In particular for NMSI Wroughton in Wiltshire which is a disused airbase used as a storage facility for the Science Museum in London. The site regularly houses events from the International Kite festival, Air displays and car shows to corporate events for the likes of Honda and the Police. Its was therefore important to have a flexible space that can be rotated and moved around the 40 acre site to use the space as well as possible.
The plans were kept simple with no permanent fixtures other than lighting to allow maximum flexibility. The angled shape creates a stunning "false" perspective that never looks as it should.
