Michael Bodiam
A brand identity that communicates focus and clarity, with a twist.
London-based photographer and sometime MultiAdaptor collaborator Michael Bodiam works on both commercial commissions for global brands and his own personal projects - including photography exhibited and sold at the 2007 Royal Academy Summer Show.
Michael approached MultiAdaptor to design a website as a showcase for his growing personal portfolio (and profile).
Our approach to the design of the website was from a branding perspective.
We began by creating a logo. The bold, simple typographic treatment would inform the creative direction of the website, and provide the foundation for a visual language that will be used to develop stationery and exhibition material - using the twist device as a powerful visual identifier for headline text and such like.
The logo comes to life online. On the website, the spare, typographic approach lets the vibrant photography take centre stage, while maintaining a distinctive voice across pages. An elegant navigation allows the user to browse projects visually.
