I’m not a big fan of the MTA logo, or the overalldesign of our ubiquitous metrocards. So I designed a sticker templateto cover almost the entire card. You can do pretty much anything to a metrocard as long as you don’t mess with the black strip. Part of myoriginal thought was that if people were able to personalize theirmetrocard then maybe they’d hold onto it longer, producing less waste.But refilling the metrocard in the machines was a problem. I’m not surehow my stickered cards would fare in the machine, but I was usingmonthly cards and never had to test it. But "swiping" the card was fine. Note: imagery is a mix of my ownphotos and other imagery from various sources.
