!WARNING! (Extremely) Bright colours below!

Yep that's right, it's another MTV/Staying-Alive Project, this time in conjunction with The Body Shop, and it's called Move Your Lips.com.
The Body Shop have produced a special edition Guarana lip butter which will be sold in stores worldwide. An amount from every sale will go directly to the Staying Alive Foundation, the MTV charity which gives monetary awards to young people, globally, who run their own youth focussed HIV and AIDS awareness projects. Move Your Lips is also all about encouraging young people to speak out, whether it's on the subject of HIV and AIDS, or anything else that's affecting them. The TV Promo (with the site url) is apparently going out on all MTV channels all over the planet. Which is quite a few! The url is also to be found on the posters adorning all Body Shop stores, such as this one I found in London at the weekend (Please note - I did not design the poster).

It's the 3rd project I've designed now for MTV directly, and the second
for the Staying Alive Foundation. In this case the starting point was
some print advertising in a bold pop-art style (featuring Helvetica) that had already been
produced (see posters above). The client also wanted the site to be
presented as a town. And so it was that the giant lips became a pair of
hills, and the town was built in front of them - hey presto! Still, despite not having complete creative carte blanche from the off, I think myself and David (info to follow) did a good job of making it feel like ours. Plus those are the kind of limitations you expect as a freelancer, espeically when the campaign is as large as this. It was very cool to be asked!
Once again, I couldn't have done this without David Terranova, who is the man who brought it all to life in Flash, made all the content editable via XML, and set up the 10 languages required. I especially love the page transitions he created.
The whole project all ran incredibly smoothly, in both the design and build phases, and was delivered on time and to budget.
There's a lot of content to check out, including a simple game that can become quite addictive as you try and beat the high score. So, please enjoy, and of course support the campaign!
