Home Page
This is the home page of the website. All of the swirly graphics were based off of graphics downloaded from bittbox.com. This website was my first big project in college, but I just couldn't stand the design anymore so I created the way it looks now.
Sub Page
This is what the search page and subpages look like. You can easily see all of the jewelry and rollover each piece to see the title and bigger image. It is much easier to navigate. There is also similar jewelry tags near the bottom that are based off of the jewelry that is on the current page. I feel that these touches greatly enhanced the way it used to be, which was every piece of jewelry in that category on the same page, and with big images and lost of text.
Individual Jewelry Page
When you click on a piece of jewelry you will be taken to this page where you can add it to your cart, view all the info about this piece as well as see what other jewelry is either related or a part of a collection. That last feature is really nice for finding jewelry that is like what you are looking at.
Checkout Page
And the last big page is the shopping cart. This website uses paypal buttons for making puchases, but the shipping cart is on this site. You can add different kinds of shipping as well as insurance. Once the order has been placed through Paypal the website is updated with the order.
There is also a back-end created that allows full management of the jewelry, orders, and content on every page. Ease of checking orders, and if they were placed or abandoned during the order. Also, there is the ability to manage the mailing list that is on the site. Which allows for sending out emails to those on the list, and changing the content of the email without having to use an email client.
So, that's this project. There is alot more to it, but these are the main features. My involvement was that I developed and designed all of it myself. :D Some of the graphics were taken from bittbox.com. If you want to check out more of the site here is the link.
