Fields: Web Design
Commissioned by: Nederlandse Publieke Omroep (NPO)
Name: LowLands Zie Je Op 3
Type: Promotional Website
URL: http://www.ziejeop3.nl
Description:
Awaiting the start Lowlands of one of Hollands' biggest music festival, Nederland 3, the channel wich covers the festival each year, asked us to create a means of interaction for the people at home watching the festival, and the people who were actually at the festival.
Nederland 3 would provide internet capable computer terminals on the festival grounds.
We came up with the idea of creating a faux 'backstage video', in wich a festival visitor, could show their friends that he or she secretly sneaked backstage and filmed the backstage area using the terminals provided on the festival grounds.
Terminal users only had to capture a picture of their face with the webcam built into the terminal, wich the website then pasted into the video.
The user could then send this video to their friends and family at home, who could have a peek backstage.
The website backdrop was a interactive mix of the festival terrain and muddy people passing by (video).
Executed by MediaMonks, I was responsible for the art direction, web and interaction design. Credits also go to Arthur Dam and Rogier Schalken for shooting and editing the video, and Jouke Vuurmansfor producing the video.
The actual video will be uploaded soon!
