I had the opportunity to work with Donny Ouyang as a client. Donny is an aspiring web entreprenuer who's gaining a lot of noteriety in his respectable industry as a young hot-shot. At such an early age, Donny has shown quite some promise in his ability to make a great living off the internet. Having been on the likes of Entreprenuer.com, it was a great pleasure when Donny approached me to redesign one of his existing properties, LiveTV.
LiveTV was a project I designed about a year ago. Looking at it now, I can see that the design has aged quickly, lost a lot of its look during the coding/programming process, and now looks more like throw up then anything decently designed. I'm actually so ashamed of the design that I've never included it in any of my portfolio showcases.
With that being said, I was excited to have the opportunity to work on it again, seeing as how it has now grown to over 20,000 members and nearly 2,000 channels. Quite the growth in such a small amount of time. So with that in mind, I knew I had to deliver a design that was above and beyond what Donny would be expecting, and give his users a unique look that caught their eye, while still maintaining a good amount of simplicity and interaction.
The result is one of my favorite designs to date, and Donny was blown away by it. I'm really excited to see this project go live and when it does, I'll be sure to register as a member myself and this time - I'll be putting it in all of my portfolio showcases.
