Light is Life, photographs and light painting
Series of photographs started in 2006, realized using the light painting technique.

The first time I shot a photograph, playing with the lights, I simply rotated my camera on a horizontal axis during the shooting
.
The second time, I drew in front of the lens a smiley with a small flashlight.
Then , while I was walking around in the town by night, I took pictures of my light drawings integrating them in the environment.
On the 16th of May 2006, I started drawing light characters. The first photograph of the series is called "Rendez-Vous".

The following photographs are all from the Light is Life series.
I wrote a tutorial about light painting available on my website.

Sur un banc. Shot just after the previous one. I was still discovering the technique so I didn t realize I would be that much visible on the photograph !

Playground II. Same night, same place. I had a lot of fun
drawing the characters. I like the light in the top left corner. It
shines through the threes like the sun.

Bus Stop. This one is interesting cause it is the first one
showing different types of characters and lights from a moving car. At
this time, I realized I could use light from vehicules to add movement
to my photographs.

Le train de 1h17. Shot after the previous one while a train was passing under the bridge. I only had one try.

Love. Two characters in love, on a bridge. Got the red light putting my thumb in front of the light. The reflection is natural.

Alberobello. Shot in southern Italy, Alberobello, it shows walking characters in front of a trullo (stone made house). I like the sky and the red lights from a car.
