Obviously, I can't take much credit for this one, and it's here largely because I like having a Rolling Stones t-shirt in my portfolio. Nevertheless, I passed a kid wearing this t-shirt right here on 23rd Street just yesterday, and I was pleased and proud to recognize it as mine. And, getting the Rolling Stones license did present design challenges: With so many great Stones graphics out there, it was tough to come up with a new approach that didn't look "new", if that makes any sense. So, I grabbed the relatively obscure logo from Exile On Main Street and called it a day. Front of the t-shirt.

What do you do when you've got the Stax license, but not the license for Isaac Hayes or the Staple Singers or anyone else who appeared at Watts Stax? I based this one on my hazy recollection of the Ernie Barnes* painting "Sugar Shack," which they showed during the credits on "Good Times," along with my clearer recollection of the 1970's Bill Cosby cartoons. (*Google Ernie Barnes! Gorgeous!)
