It is actually from one of my favourite photos of a close friend of mine. The reason it is up on here more than anything is that it is the first painting I really put my heart and soul in the digital medium. I spent months swearing and making lots of mistakes, with the sole purpose of making him laugh when he saw what pose I had picked.

I do want to paint him again, probably repeatedly. I really love how he looks and it was a challenge to get him right. This painting was done before I really managed to work out how to get hair way looking the way I wanted to. It would be good to repeat it now my technique has improved:)

The only reason I believe it's a painting is because it is labeled that way. Amazing photo-realism. I really admire your craft.

Not sure if I get your vision, though. What does it say? Your subject isn't particularly beautiful, his expression is bland. There doesn't seem to much of a point in rendering him this way.
