All of this work was created for my FNP at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College. It was the final project of my BA so really wanted to create some exciting work.

The brief was to create awareness for a Japanese Exhibition by Posters, banners and postcards/through-the-door promotion. The subject is really interesting, focusing on Japans relationship with technology and how future generations will see Japan and its past.

I decided to work purely in Illustrator so I could push my skills and create some glitch-like, messy but sharp work.

Note: I love robots!!!!!!

This main poster took 5 hours to get the main idea down, then another 2 hours to tidy up and finalise. It's a combination of the banner, promotional material shown below. The colours are really rich and deep.

The wires are really symbolic of what I was trying to achieve with my work, I plan to go allot deeper into this area. The Mecha ( robot ) was allot of fun to draw, it was a huge challenge and another area I really want to do more on. I wanted to restrain from using the Japanese flag in any part of this project, but this piece needs it to show Japans dominance in technology.

The samurai was amazing fun to draw and colour, the shapes and lines really work well. Japans culture is heavily influenced by tradition, even though it's slowly drowning out. I wanted this piece to be simpler, quieter.

This GodZilla piece is more self confined, it's alot more planed than the others. I think it works well at showing Japans constant fear of technology, the evil ugly moster that haunts Japanese culture and tradition.
