Holes punched in the book jacket decode the text printed on the cover.

Cover with the dust jacket removed.

Objects and artifacts in the collection are introduced in extreme close-up or obscured to pique curiosity.

Following the obscured images are spreads which show the object and describe how it was used. This is the Enigma Cipher. It was used by German forces in WWII to send coded messages to allied forces.
