Each segment of Interdependent  began as a simple, structure-less fabric unit. Once placed within this installation, the unit acquires its shape, such that the form is determined by its relationship to its neighboring units and vice versa. The sculpture as a whole is self supporting, but it is the connections between the units that give it strength.
