IanWebDesigns is a HTML 5, CSS3, Dynamic Expression Engine based site. It Is as lightweight as possible using CSS instead of bitmaps for the majority of the sites graphics.
IanWebDesigns was developed using a progressive enhancement methodology, and is intended to showcase this form of web development. What this means in practice is that the website will render in legacy browsers, mobile devices and modern browsers alike, with the functionality and design of the site rendering according to the capabilities of the rendering device or browser.
Aesthetically I drew a lot of inspiration from Japanese media for this project. I wanted to evoke the friendliness of the Kawaii drawing style whilst maintaining a very logical and ordered visual layout. I chose the colour palette for the site to reinforce these ideas.

IanWebDesigns translated into Japanese. Translation was done using Ubiquity, hopefully it makes sense!
