Alpine Creations
Strategy, Information Architecture, Visual Design and XHTML & CSS Development

Alpine Creations is a garment manufacturer with offices in Singapore, China, Taiwan, Egypt, Jordan and UAE. Their corporate site targeted giants like Walmart and Disney. So design and user experience of site has to be impressive enough to stand them as an experienced, quality and capable of handling large garment production.

The size of this project has to be planned and executed well. SO, I broke project in phases. We had long meetings, discussions, exchange of docs this resulted in a rough sketch of site goal, audience, creative and marketing balance. After the discovery stage i was able to create initial wire frames based on our findings.

This was the first graphic-version of wireframe.

After couple of revised versions we end-up with this. It was good looking but not enough to impress Walmart and Disney.

So i get back to basics like brand color, brand message, user and business goal for homepage. After various nights and days i created this - with purple brand color, rich color scheme, modern and strong typography. The stripped background, logo on piece of fabric tucked into header, color strip on top, fabric stitches with alpine. Every single element was placed with a business and creative reason.

But this was just the start, the main challenge was to create user interface for every single page because as i said earlier this site was targeting walmart and disney, So each page had to achieve its user and business goals while not looking out-of-the-box (homepage design style).

Bottom line is it was a great experience working on such large project. I learned a lot about my design process, client management, creative abilities.

But what i liked most even kinda proud is i successfully combined User Goals and Business Goals. And that's what we designers is all about. Don't you think?
