Gallatin "Alumni Achievements" booklet

A long-time client of three steps ahead, the Gallatin School of Individualized Study came to us to update and rework the “Alumni Achievements” booklet that we had designed many years previous. We chose to integrate richer versions of the school’s official colors--violet and gold---as our printing inks, with metallic gold added for extra prestige-factor. Our choice of typefaces reflects our goal of making this the most elegant and graceful of Gallatin’s promotional collateral, while peppering the main serif with a contrasting sans-serif face to reflect the school’s novel and cutting-edge appeal.

Once typesetting was complete, we finished the piece with a continuous “pen-down” John Lennon-style line drawing. Inspired in large part by Harold and the Purple Crayon, it meanders from cover to cover, forming images that reflect the subject matter of each page.

The finished piece is an 8" × 8" booklet, masterfully printed on matte stock.
