Diva Maya | Jun 08

Organic tequila brand, Diva Maya donate a percentage of sales to local Mexican charities which aid wildlife protection.

The brief was to reflect this without having to write it, while still remaining stylish and collectable.

Each tequila, blanco, reposado and anejo is represented by an animal, namely turtles, eagle and jaguar respectively.

Process involved alot of tracing paper and a light box.

All illustrations follow a tear drop shape which the copy fits around.

I know it's a little bit late to comment this but here I come: 1) all designs are superb, especially turtle and jaguar. Eagle is nice but don't looks like an eagle for me, it's more a pigeon shape (subjective). 2) I suppose marketing dept from Diva Maya has their own ideas but I think they are wrong linking the animals with the tequila range. Tequila blanco (white) is a young one, brave & strong so the jaguar with their fangs and claws match better. Reposado (means rested) need an extra time to be produced and has wood/smoky flavour so eagle with their majestic will be the adecuate one. Obiously, turtle is the election for añejo (which means olded). Sorry for the length of this comment and good job!
