in this particular illustration the topic in discussion is global warming. the balloons represent the different sectors involved in the discussion. the difficulty in making the necessary solutions for the environment is sometimes dependent in words, in discussions, in the verbal exchange of ideas and ideals.

--------

If speech balloons transform into the visual manifestations of our words and feelings, what would they look like? To reveal their shapes, colors, spikes and curves, the creatures have come out to play.

Anger suits up a tight orange that screams out its spiked edges; Sadness dons a dark cloud as its bulging eye leaves a trail of tears; Joy’s radiates in yellow, its eye a dot and a swirl, swaying its wavy arms; With a pair of curves for closed eyes, Sleep is cozy in fluffy and puffy grey...floating in a dream.

If someone embraces you with kind words, throws you a piercing line or just says a random whatever, what creature will be revealed?

BALLOON WARS is a series of illustrations featuring speech balloons in the guise of colorful and whimsical creatures.
