Daft Punk - Discovery

Becks Inspired art allowed you to choose an album from Pitchfork's "Album of the Decade" list and re-do the cover.
I chose discovery by daft punk, I probably wouldn't put it in my top 5 album list but at the same time I always find myself listening to the album, it seems to always sneak up on me like that. The music on the album always evokes strange space related images in my head, but tracks like "nightvision" and "Something about us" are very tranquil and serene which have always been stand out tracks for me.
I tried to visualise this as best I can, first with a small sketches and illustrations exploring abstract depictions of discovery. I then decided to create the artwork in 3D to add the extra sense of atmosphere. I wanted the cover to tell a story of discovery in the best way possible, hence the sphere's look as if they are traveling / attracted towards the light while emerging from other parts of the scene.
