DESCENDO PRINTS :: SERIES FOUR / DUPLICITY
Shedding light on the deceitful nature of surroundings and would-be safe havens in a mixed-media / photo-montage collection. Though the collection employs digital alteration, most of the montages were hand made with carbon sheets and silkscreening acetates for the typography. The series features additional photography from the Rimouski fire of May 6th 1950 "La Nuit Rouge" taken from the st-pierre family archives. Out of respect to the families affected by the incident, the use of my ancestor's archives in this collection serves as a parallel to a recent loss instead of attempting an improper hommage.
