Design in central and eastern Europe
Main idea behind DESIGNEAST blog/web magazine is to provide people wide scope about design movement in our part of Europe (central, eastern, south eastern).
Events and movement in product design, furniture design, light design, industrial design etc. Students presentations and final year projects. Because there you can find a lot good designs and designers so there is a lot to see. And I'm trying to spot all of this on the blog. DESIGNEAST has already some features like design calendar with collaboration with www.fordesign.biz . In the future plan is move to new server, redesign the site and for example to start video reports as now I'm providing many photo reports from design events/weeks.
Until now coverage of DESIGNEAST is not wide enough. It basically covers Czech republic, east of Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, part of Austria. I've showed some photos from Baltic states. In plans is collaboration on exhibition project in Bulgaria in 2008 and I collaborate with www.czechdesign.cz. Blog has already some partner sites from around the world which you can see here.
It is everyday hunting for the news and finding interesting things to post them on the blog like all blogers.
I have basically started this blog because of lack of information in english language about design movement from central and eastern Europe area. Blog already has found its readers and I'm happy that people appreciate my work on it.
