WHAT CAN YOUR CREATIVITY DO?
WHAT CAN YOUR CREATIVITY DO?
The brief was to generate awareness for the Design Indaba Conference, an international creative summit held annually in Cape Town. The theme for Design Indaba 2009 is “What can your creativity do” and focuses on ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
DIRECT MAIL POSTER
We developed a light-sensitive poster that in low-light conditions revealed its copy: the story of William Kamkwamba, a Malawian man who built a wind-powered turbine out of scrap parts in order to generate electricity for his house.
PROGRAMME
The programme had to detail Design Indaba’s order of proceedings, speaker biographies and messaging from sponsors. Examples of extraordinary inventions by untrained individuals were interspersed throughout the programme in the form of lenticular animations. This guaranteed a large degree of interactivity and added weight to our campaign line: What can your creativity do?
