GLASS COASTERS 2010 - Some photos below show just some of the coaster designs completed.
Most of the illustrations were hand sketched then scanned and re-worked in illustrator.
The packaging was also designed to show a-lot of the glass, to be inviting to customers.
It needed to hit the tourist market in NZ (see the stylised fern design and colour choices).
The budget was tight so we couldn't use spots of UV's etc (would have liked to have used a clear spot UV over the fern portions). We did however get a matte laminate on the packaging to increase strength and to give a subtle matte look 'in-store'. The die cut was also set-up to fold on-to itself to minimise glue use-age and increase strength. Hope you enjoy...
