Character Concept Illustration - Personal Artwork
Aims:
Aims:
- create characters and costuming to reflect those characters
- develop illustration skills
- develop texturing skills
I have always been fascinated with costume design, since my days as a drama student, and during my last few years studying Design at University I have been creating artwork such as this in order to improve my skills using a graphics tablet. These are original characters and the idea with each is not only to create something that looks good but costuming that shows the viewer what kind of person that character is as well as their social situation, occupation and role. These illustrations also help me to develop my skills as an artist, mainly in the areas of colour, shape, perspective and texturing. I hope to gain employment in the Video Game Development Industry so that I can continue to create characters such as these.
