These stills are from a TV Promotional Trailer to promote the launch of Channel Seven. This screen-based project was a brief set by the ISTD (International Society of Designers).

My approach was based on the idea of when light from the sun passes through a prism, the light is split into the seven visible colours by refraction. These spectral colours are violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Each colour then represents a different programme category for the the Channel Seven brand. For example red for drama; blue for news and purple / violet for film (as shown above). The primary function of the trailer is to arrest audience attention and communicate the uniqueness, quality and diversity of the Channel Seven product.

I designed the seven logo to also represent this prism-like aspect while also trying to make the logo retain the appearance of the number seven.
