Candace Meyer Photography Porfolio
We developed Candace Meyer's porfolio with a clear priority in our heads: leave as much space as possible to her beautiful imagery.
Meyer's work showcases great pieces of conceptual photography, which must live into their specific context. For this reason, we developed the possibility of showcasing the photographs as dyptics without sacrificing the full view of the image, through a smart drag & drop explore function.
The website features a movie player to showcase the short films directed by Candace Meyer herself.
This project was developed as a part of our education at Hyper Island, at not cost for the client.

The content of the site was organized hierarchically following a two-dimensional space and was centered around the concept of sliding: albums are categorized and displayed vertically, while single images slide horizontally from the sides of the screen.
Intelligent arrow-keys navigation is enabled to quickly navigate through the content.
We designed and coded an unobtrusive interface with iconic and intuitive references to the functionalities of the site and a fade out timing which minimizes its interference with the content of the site.
The site is dynamic and powered by a full featured back-end, custom built to suit the needs of the client. The back-end of the site features functionalities that allow to have complete control of the content and its hierarchy, as well as the possibility of editing and/or adding static pages.
