Buddy The Bear
Buddy The Bear is a series of children's books by written by Rebecca J. Brock that I was commissioned to illustrate between 2006-2008. These include:
- Buddy The Bear Goes On Vacation
- Buddy The Bear's Birthday Presents
- Buddy The Bear Wonders What To Wear
- Buddy The Bear Believes In Himself
- Buddy The Bear's Golden Rule
- Buddy The Bear's Healthy Habits
My process for preparing these illustrations is as follows:
Following illustration instructions provided by the client, I prepare a series of sketches for the client to approve. Modifications are made as needed.
Upon approval, I clean up the drawings and then ink them using india ink and a spoon pen.
Finally, I scan all pages into Adobe Photoshop CS, where I color them. Once the client has looked over the finished book, it is delivered via CD rom.
