Performance as part of the opening reception for a solo show from March 27th:
I placed a wad of bills (mostly one dollar star notes) on the ground, made seven incisions with a razor just above my heart and proceeded to smear blood from my wounds on the notes. Playing loudly from various audio devices were radio static and a conversation, dropped many octaves, between me and my grandparents about vacuum cleaners, sandwiches, dogs and t.v.
Still bleeding into my old Virginia Tech Wrestling workout shirt I then grabbed three of the bloody bills and walked to 7-11 where I purchased a 40 ounce of King Cobra and concluded the performance.

Star notes are bills that literally have stars at the ends of the serial numbers; Star notes are reprints of notes that printed incorrectly.

The next day, all three bills ironically turned up at a Vegetarian Restaurant about 100 yards from 7-11. Molly Mahoney who is involved with the gallery happened to notice them as she was working the register.
