One of the first designs.  This was initially rejected.

This design ultimately turned into the final site.  Parts of this design were changed or moved.  The final version has no random image, and not page description, but instead subtitles.  The navigation was moved to the sidebar.

This is the final version.  Shown is a sample page, with default content and default sidebar.

This is what a gallery for the site will look like.  The images use a lightbox feature, and the series title link to an about page for each series.
